The money will be split 3 ways and it is planned to present the cheques to the charities on Friday 12th September at 6.30pm at the club - everyone is welcome.

All of the team would like to thank everyone who pledged money and supported them up to and during the ride.

Northop Cricket Club 150th year!

We did it .......... with no breakdowns - not even a puncture!

After a delayed start due to thunder storms and torrential rain the final team of 13 set off in 2 groups at 9.45am to complete the 150km (95 mile) loop in North Wales.

The first stop at 13.5 miles at Rossie's cider farm in Llandegla was a welcome stop after climbing to the highest point on the route at 1,103ft.

Just as we set off from

Rossie's the rain came again as we rode on past Corwen and on towards the second stop in Cerrig.

Coffees and hot chocolates in the cafe at Cerrig were very welcome before setting off to Betws-y-Coed and on to the lunch stop at Bodnant at 55 miles.

Lunch and a change in to dry kit put is in good spirits to push on for the final 40 miles along the North Wales Coast.

Sunshine and light winds made the ride homeward very enjoyable.

Stops in Rhyl and at Abakhan kept us hydrated before both teams regrouped at Flint Mountain for the final ride to Northop and a fantastic welcome back at the club.

So 150km (95 miles), a moving time of 6hrs 34mins, 3,992ft elevation gain and an average overall speed of 14.7mph - a great achievement for all involved.

The team would like to thank Colin and Faz for covering the ride in the support car and to family and friends for their support on the day.

Also to everyone who has sponsored the event and we now look forward to handing over the cheques to the chosen charities (details below).

The team are now collecting their sponsorship money and are hoping to raise over £4500.
